Situated above the Bulmore Road and overlooking the meandering River Usk, designed in the style of a French chateau, stands the now derelict Clawdd Farmhouse. In its heyday Clawdd must have been one of the finest houses of its type in the area, so what a shame to see it now in such a dilapidated state.

I cycle the Bulmore Road on a regular basis and have often wondered why this once magnificent building has never been restored. I guess now it is past the threshold of economic repair.

Given the views this property commands it would have been a wonderful place to live.
